FULL SERVICE
On our full services we carry out the following:

A full brake check, clean and adjustment

A full suspension and steering check including springs, shock absorbers, ball joints and wheel bearings

All tyres, including spare, are checked for the correct pressures, tread wear and overall condition. All of the wheels are also checked for any damage.

Wipers, washers (including aim), horn, and all lights are checked for the correct operation.

All hinges are lubricated
-
The following items are changed: Oil and filter, air filter, fuel filter (petrol or diesel), spark plugs (petrol engines) and pollen filter (where applicable).

All levels are checked and topped up as needed, including screen wash and antifreeze strength.
-
For older cars, the cap, rotor and points are checked.
-
A visual check all over for any corrosion or loose trims.
-
Vehicle visually checked for leaks.
DIAGNOSTIC CHECK
A diagnostic check is needed when the engine management light, or any other warning lights (ABS, Airbag, ASR, and many more), stay illuminated whilst the vehicle is running.
By carrying out a diagnostic check, we can gain access to fault codes and certain sensor readings which can help towards trying to diagnose the fault.
Any stored fault codes will then be deleted following remedial work which then turns the offending light off.
ENGINE SERVICE
On our engine service we carry out the following:

The following items are changed: Oil and filter, air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs (petrol engines)

All levels are checked and topped up as needed, including screen wash and antifreeze strength.

Engine is visually checked for leaks.
CAM BELTS
Cam belts generally need replacing at certain times or due to mileage, depending on what comes first.
This is usually every 4 to 6 years or 40,000 to 80,000 miles, depending on what make and model you have. These replacement times can usually be found in your vehicle's service book or owners' manual. Failure to replace the cam belts at the specified time can be very costly.
The cost of replacing a cam belt is 5% to 10 % of the cost of having a cam belt snap repaired. When we replace cam belts we do so to manufacturers' recommendations and replace tensioners, pulleys and idlers at the same time.
It is also advisable to change the water pump if it's running from the cam belt at the same time, as the water pumps have a limited life span.
HOLIDAY CHECK OVER
A holiday check over is always a good idea if you are heading off on holiday or a long trip. The best time to get this done is at least a week before you leave, in case any problems are found. We do all of the following checks:

A visual brake lining check on all disc brakes fitted to the vehicle.

All levels are checked and topped up as needed.

All lights are checked, including the hazard lights.

Washers operation and aim.
-
All tyres, including spare, are checked for the correct pressures, tread wear and overall condition.
PRE WINTER CHECK
This includes:

Anti-freeze is checked for strength.

All levels are checked and topped up.
-
Washer aim and strength is checked and topped up with a winter solution if needed.

All tyres, including spare, are checked for correct pressures, tread wear and overall condition.
